Dust Switch is compact and reasonably priced dust indicator which Dust Monitor output function is limited to alarm output only.

By continuously monitoring small dust collectors 24 hours a day, the start of dust leakage is quickly detected and notified.

It is a low-priced version of Dust Monitor. We have narrowed down the functions to achieve a lightweight and compact size for small dust collectors.

Always measure in place of a human. When the dust concentration exceeds the threshold, it outputs a signal to notify you.

Equipped with open collector output (NPN output). It is also possible to import signals directly into the PLC.

Dust Switch adopts the triboelectric (charge) method.

When Dust Switch is attached to the secondary duct of a small dust collector, the movement of electric charge (tribo) occurs when dust leaked into the exhaust gas contacts or passes near the probe. The amount of charge transfer is detected as a relative concentration proportional to the dust concentration. When the specified threshold value is reached, a signal is output to inform you of the abnormality.

Install the inside of the duct on a straight section that has a rectifying effect. Avoid bends, extreme narrowing, or near fans, as the airflow will be turbulent and the measurement will be unstable.

Weld the included 1/2 inch socket to the perforated duct, insert the probe and screw it in.

*Be sure to connect the ground wire.

The power supply is DC24V. Since the output is an open collector output, please connect directly when connecting to a PLC.

There are two settings. The sensitivity adjustment function switches and adjusts the sensitivity in 10 steps. Chattering is prevented by the detection level delay setting.

For cleaning, simply wipe off dirt from the probe with a slightly damp cloth. If there is no dust leakage, it will not get dirty, so it is recommended to clean it when the equipment is stopped.

POINT!

If you clean the probe as it is, it will short circuit the board, so turn off the power, wear insulated gloves, and work with the ground connected.
